Pony Tales

A horse is possibly the most magnificent of animals one can find. Their flowing manes, their tall frames and gentle eyes are a true mark of royalty. This is why a lot of people wish to own this beautiful creature as a pet. If you love riding, then a horse can be the perfect companion. However there are some facts that you need to know before you set out to own a pretty stallion.
Owning a horse is a lot of responsibility. First you need to decide whether you want to rear horses professionally or just keep one as a pet. As pets, you need to know the actual age of the horse or pony when you’re out to buy one. Also, ask the rearer about the horse’s temperament. Young horses are pretty feisty and can be difficult to handle.
A lot of patience goes into training a horse. Genuine love for the animal is a complete must! Some people can suffer from serious injuries that may even prove fatal if the horse in not handled in the proper manner. But once you get the horse accustomed to you, there’s nothing like the joy of riding through the winds on horseback! In fact, the horse will prove to be a very loyal companion and won’t leave your side if you’re in danger.
Horses are expensive animals and are often subject to theft or even murder. If you own a well bred horse you should seriously think about getting horse insurance. The papers need to be in order on the day of purchase itself. A horse insurance policy should ideally cover death due to natural causes such as tornadoes or lightening, humans and medical causes.
