Cat Accessories – giving your feline friend a copy cat version of your bed

Cats have never suffered from insomnia. In fact, they turn sleeping into a natural art which many of us wish we could acquire. Often, the only reason a cat will awaken is to find another comfy spot or two to curl up and have another cat nap. If one of those purr-fect haunts is your bed or sofa, you need to take the c-law into your own hands and teach kitty to use her own bed.

It is a well known fact that cats have a stubborn streak in them, so it is not a good idea to spend too much money on a luxury snooze pad if kitty sees purple every time you try to persuade her to sit on her satin boudoir.

Cats love to stretch, twist and curl themselves into many wacky positions when sleeping. Stop puss from waking in a bad mew’d by ensuring that the bed you choose is spacious enough for her to feel safe and sound but not so large that she feels insecure. Opt for washable cat beds which have removable covers to keep parasites allergens and odours at bay.

If your cat still insists on using your bed, you need to find a way of gently dropping the hint that her days of taking over your pillow are history. A good way to do this is to scatter some of her favourite cat toys onto her bed or sprinkle the surface of the bed with cat nip. You could also try placing your cat’s bed in a spot where she loves to stretch out and catch up on some much needed shut eye. A cat’s body temperature drops significantly when she is sleeping so try placing her bed near to a radiator. These few simple suggestions could encourage kitty to sleep in her bed all night until it is time to wake for her Mice Krispies. If you are still having trouble keeping your kitten at bay, contact someone at vet jobs London, it could be that she is having trouble sleeping full stop. Something that your local animal carers will be able to educate you on.
